The Coast Soccer League Player Of The Month initiative recognizes players who show commitment to Respect, Teamwork, and Good Communication. These are all skills that every coach and parent would like to see, and they support success both on and off the field.
Each month your team will select one player to receive the honor of being Player of the Month. This award is given in recognition of their efforts in these three areas during both practice and games.
The Player of the Month initiative recognizes players, helps coaches to motivate the players, allows clubs to highlight the development of life skills, and offers a parent the opportunity to see their child grow in areas beyond just athletic performance.
The coach is responsible for how the selection process will work for his/her team. The coach can individually make the decision, he/she can include the team manager in the process, or some may choose to involve the parents in the selection process. However the player is selected, the coach advises the team manager which player is to be honored, and the team manager uses the CSL app to announce the honoree.

The Player Of The Month (POTM) will be recognized and highlighted on the CSL App with the POTM award being part of the team profile. The league will also highlight players who have been honored through CSL social media channels, and on the CSL website.
In addition, CSL will provide materials to help you award the player in person and on your website. Below you will find a player certificate which you can print out and fill in for the player. If the Coach would like to write a note to the player, we have provided a POTM letterhead to use. Lastly, you can download the picture frame surround and crop in a picture of your player - this can be displayed on your clubs website.
